About the Founder
Heba Ramzy is not just a leader: she is an inspiring force of change and innovation, an entrepreneur at heart, and a visionary in the realm of social impact. From a young age, Heba aspired to follow in her father's footsteps and become a doctor to serve humanity. As she grew, her dreams evolved, and she discovered myriad ways to bring hope and opportunity to those in need.
With over 20 years of experience, Heba is a trailblazer in community investment and responsible business practises. She has a remarkable history of driving strategic initiatives, forgine successful parterships, and advancing critical public policy dialogues. Her unwavering commitment to youth empowerment has led her to create opportunities for young individuals to thrive and shape a brighter future.
Heba's journey is rooted in her academic excellence, with a master's desgree in Analysis, Design, and Management of Information Systems from the prestigious London School of Economics, and a bachelor's degree in business administration fro the American University in Cairo. These foundations have enabled her to spearhead ransformative projects and inspire innovations in global citizenship.
One poignant moment in her career was meeting a young girl from an Egyptian village who aspired to be like her. This encounter ignited Heba's passion for bringing technology to underserved communities and empowering youth. She established Egypt's first computer center, the '21st Century Clubs', which evolved into a national and regional initiative, impacting millions of children and their families. Heba also developed 'Little Horus', a platform connecting kids globally, and co-founder SchoolNet Africa to foster critical thinking and learning among young people.
At Microsoft, Heba played a pivotol role in establishing philantrophy efforts in the Middle East and Africa, transforming the nonprofit sector through digital innovation. Her efforts earned her the prestigious Microsoft 'Circle of Excellence' award in 2007. Moving to Avanade, Heba led the company's philantropy strategies, significantly scaling social impact through strategic partnerships. She was instrumental in developing the company's Responsible Business and ESG scorecard and the nonprofit sector line of business.
Recognized globally for her outstanding work, Heba has received numerous awards and serves on various international organizations and university advisory boards, including Cal Poly Ponoma and UW Bothell STEM. She is also an esteemed Eisenhower Fellow.
